Our services fall generally into five categories which are as follows:
Data services
Digitizing from source media and raster images
Sourcing and obtaining various other geographic data products
Acquiring data collection in the field using handheld GPS
Converting anything geographic into clean and usable GIS format
Data services are vital to any GIS project and inevitably affect the results of any GIS analysis. This initial step is fundamental to most GIS projects; the definition of client requirements and data accuracy is paramount in avoiding later changes. Data conversion is vital when data derives from various sources and countries.

Developing a spatial database
A vital component of any spatial analysis or GIS project is the creation of a well- designed geodatabase. This involves large amounts of data processing to transform raw data into a format compatible with the GIS. This also includes data validation and quality control to ensure data of the highest quality. |

Spatial Analysis
Combining GIS data layers and performing complex value weighting operations.
Using various modelling techniques to derive additional information from existing data.
Using proximity to determine spatial needs and best route analysis.
Spatial analysis involves two or more data layers and operations on them to provide results for a specific purpose. These operations are simple or complex depending on the nature of the analysis. The results may be in the form of statistics attribute data or a new data layer. By using GIS effectively, managers can identify the impacts on environmentally sensitive areas as well as aid in determining which site will provide for the most cost effective operations. |

Field Data Collection
We also offer field data collection, this involves our consultant using a handheld GPS can go into an area (In RSA or abroad), and collect data related to the physical and social aspects of the environment. We have two 4x4s that are used for remote data collection. The data is then converted into a usable format and incorporated into maps to create a timely and accurate portrayal of conditions in the area of interest. |

Cartography
Many map series contain various maps portraying every aspect of the physical and social environments. These are mainly used in EIA's of major transport or mining developments.
Combining GIS with PC graphics software to produce the highest-quality small-maps available.
Maps that are functional and aesthetically pleasing, while portraying only the exact information and data required. Our clients will also have customised templates created for their Map series, which will include the client’s logo.
A simple set of impressive maps is often the most effective tool for communicating complex developments to public residents, clients or investors. They aim to portray the spatial and visual impact on the environmental and how to minimise its impact.
We ensure every map is attractive, readable, and clearly conveys the desired information.
We employ various techniques to create high quality digital files and have proprietary tools and procedures enabling us to use PC graphics software in conjunction with ARC/INFO data to produce the high quality small-format maps.
Our maps are used for mining right applications, water monitoring applications and water licence use applications. |
